Involvement Record

The Involvement Record (IR) is an unofficial transcript of your co-curricular involvement, highlighting your out-of classroom experiences such as events you have attended, organizations you have joined or held positions in, self reported experiences you have submitted and service hours. This can be used to apply for grad school, provide speaking points for job interviews, and to showcase your leadership experience.

To view or download your IR, click on your initial or photo in the upper right hand corner and click Involvement Record.

As you scroll through your document, you can add and sort positions, organization memberships, experiences, reflections and service hours, and decide what you do and do not want to show on your personal record. Clicking Change Layout at the top allows you to determine in what order you would like these different involvement activities to appear, if you would like them to appear at all. While you can choose which of your activities appear and in what order, note that the general customization of your involvement record is determined by your campus administrators and cannot be changed.

When you are finished customizing your record, click the blue Save button at the top. Click Print/View PDF to open a printable version of your record. From this screen, you can print your record or save it as a PDF document.

Adding reflections

In Get Involved, users can add reflections to past memberships and event attendance to be configured to appear on the Involvement Record. To add reflections to your past involvements, navigate first to your User Drawer by selecting your initial or photo in the upper right hand corner. 

You can add reflections to events you have attended by clicking on My Event History, and you can add reflections to both current and past memberships by selecting My Memberships.

When you select My Event History, you will see a list of events for which you have been marked as an attendee, along with events you RSVPd for that are now in the past. For any event for which you have recorded attendance, you will see the option to add a reflection.

When you select My Memberships, you can switch back and forth between your current and past memberships. For all memberships, you will see the ability to add reflections for each individual position you have held within these organizations.

To ensure these reflections show on your IR, open up the User Drawer again and select Involvement Record. For each section, you will see the option to show or hide your reflections.
