Voting in a campus election
The Elections tool in the Get Involved platform is the official election system for Wayne State University. It is used for Student Senate elections, student organizations and by campus units to host their elections throughout the academic year.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know when to vote?
Typically, eligible voters will be notified through email when an election is in progress and will be sent the election link. A light blue box titled "It's time to vote!" will also display when you're logged into Get Involved.
I clicked on the link and the message says, "You do not have access to vote in this election."
If you think you should have access to vote, check with the election administrator who sent you the email. It's possible that your user name is missing in the eligibility list.
I clicked on the link and the message says, "You already have a submission in progress."
The first time you click the election link, a new link is generated to create the unique ballot tied to your user name. Elections only allows you to vote once, so only one ballot is made per user. To get back to your ballot:
- Click your user profile in the upper right.
- Select "My Submissions."
- Select the "Elections" tab.
- Select the eye icon next to the election you would like to return to.
