Students have the opportunity to make a tangible impact both on campus and in the Detroit community through volunteerism and service-learning initiatives. With thousands of community service hours logged annually, WSU is proud to be deeply rooted in Detroit's commitment of service and outreach. From tutoring local school children to participating in neighborhood revitalization projects, our students actively engage in meaningful service that not only enhances their personal and professional growth but also contributes positively to the greater Detroit area.
