The W Food Pantry and Thrift Shop

Mission

The W Food Pantry and Thrift Shop (The W) provides currently enrolled Wayne State Warriors in need of food assistance with supplemental food, gently used garments and additional resources to enhance student success. If you know of a student in need, please submit a Care Referral and a Care Case Manager will reach out to the student regarding our services.

Please note, this is a resources specifically for Wayne State students, faculty and staff members. You will need to have a current OneCard to access resources. Community members in need of assistance can check the list of Detroit food pantries.

Goals

• Provide students in need with access to nutritious food at no cost
• Reduce food insecurities among students across WSU campus
• Increase awareness of what it means to be food insecure, while reducing stigma surrounding food pantries and food insecurities
• Provide students additional resources (throughout Wayne State and the greater community)
• Enhance student success
